The New Keyhole Database
After almost a year of work, we are very happy to announce the release of our new global database. You will find a whole new world waiting for you in Keyhole including medium resolution coverage of the entire globe. You can fly across the Amazon, dip into Santiago, Chile, bounce over to Cape Town, South Africa, fly over the Vatican, skim the Himalayas, peek into North Korea… heck, you can even go to Canada! All of this with amazingly good resolution. You will find large portions of the US filled with high-resolution commercial satellite data including urban areas, many smaller towns and cities which we didn’t cover before, and even National Parks such as Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. Many whole states are now covered with high resolution, color data including Indiana, Missouri, and New Jersey. And we didn’t stop with just imagery, you will find detailed terrain covering the entire world as well and our roads and business data have all been refreshed. Our detailed road network now covers all of Europe. We hope that you will enjoy exploring this wonderful and vastly expanded world as much as we have. Be sure to share your finds on the Keyhole BBS!

FAQ
Find your answers through our FAQs listed below
Q: What is the new “log-in” box that pops-up when I start Keyhole?
A: Since we are still working to improve our newest database and because many areas have changed in terms of their coverage, we are giving you the chance to go back and view the old “Legacy” database as well as the new “Primary” database. Just pick which one you want to view when you connect! The “Legacy” database won’t be changing but expect to see even more data and enhancements to the “Primary” database in coming weeks. |
