Possible plane wreakage.

Here you can see a fork in the road one road continues to a small bunch of something in the sand. A plane wreak perhaps?

Look at the black line. That is a shadow. Shadows are what give heights away with high angle (satellite) imagery. (I have a little military training in photo study) There is a small(ish) tower at the end of the spur road. Probably a radio transmitter tower, mayby a sensor data relay. Sensors relay info about possible intruders. Just a guess.
