Google Earth Community: Icelandic earthquakes

I have added several kmz files to the page under "Special Events" every file is both in Icelandic and English.

Made this site to make the earthquakes from the Icelandic Met. Office available in Google Earth.

Here is the direct link to the site: Icelandic Google quakes where you can download about 425 kml files from the year 2000 untill about 10 minutes ago (that is the age of the newest file). Zoom in and tilt the earth to see the "depth" of the quakes

The depth of the earthquakes is shown as hight, that is I put the surface in 30 km hight so the deeper the quakes are, the shorter the line is. This is done so because when you look at lots of quakes in the same area it makes more sense that the deeper quake is below the shallower quake. Not everybody share this opinion with me, but since its mostly me and my coworkers that use this data then this is how it's going to be.

But it would of course be best if it was possible to plot the depth of the quakes in depth, that is being able to go below the surface, but since that is not possible the depth is just going have to be plotted in the air.

I only put the size of the quakes on the files with the most recent earthquakes because when opening 100's or 1000's of quakes in Google Earth makes it impossible to read the sizes on the map anyway. But you can always click on a quake to get more information about it.

I'm the only one working on this so don't expect it to be running 100% at the moment and there might still be some errors, but this is just the first step and hopefully I will get some more time to work on this.
