Changing the opacity level of this overlay you can observe the almost total land occupation by greenhouses in contrast with the previous traditional use.

This great greenhouses area currently provides vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, melons, peppers, aubergines...) for Europe all around.

The extreme suffered evolution has different, deep consequences: exhaustion, salinization, pollution of subterranean and superficial waters; high levels of environmental organic pollutant levels; elimination of natural places and species; an spectacular economic development and more...
