Determined this is Air Force One due to the fact that AF1 is the only boeing 747 wiht the USAF logo on the right wing and a blue nose.
AF1 in flight S of Mitchell, SD.

Ah, Boner, what a find that would have been.
I'm sorry to tell you that this isn't a 747.
The Boeing 747-200B which is used as AF1 has a wingspan of 232 feet and a length of 196 ft. This aircraft is much smaller - it measures out at 134 ft wingspan , 138 ft length. This would be just about right for a Boeing 707 or KC-135 tanker.
In addition, when you view the 747 in plan, there is a large angled fillet on the trailing edge of the wing, where it joins the fuselage.
Whereas, the trailing edges of your aircraft are pretty straight, like the KC-135:
However, it is a very nice example of an aircraft in flight, so I've added it to the collection.
Keep searching for AF1, though, - she may be out there somewhere!
Cheers

just out of interest how accurate is google earth at measuring items that are in the air? Surely the measurment will differ from something on land? Or is the image from so high up the odd thousand foot that the plane is from the ground doesn't matter? (that last sentance sounds sarcastic, it isnt means to be)

If the picture is from satellite imagery, as this one is (the blue ghosting caused by CCD imagery of moving objects is the clue), the altitude of the plane makes little difference in the imagery because of the much higher altitude of the satellite. The measurement can be significantly different if the photo is by a plane which flies at a much lower altitude. The overwhelming majority of GE imagery is satellite, though the latest imagery of Great Britain happens to be aerial photography.

A good question, on the ground or 20,000 feet above?
I do find the measuring tool quite acurate.
My favorite is golf holes. The yardage is extremely close!
But when used to measure lot size in real estate using feet, maybe plus or minus a foot, here and there.....

Exactly that. I trust measurements from the satellite images. Aerial photography images only give trustworthy measurements when the object is on or near the ground. If the object is at a considerable height, the measurement tool exaggerates the size, as you might expect. I've seen instances of aerial photography where the aircraft being measured came out at over twice its actual size!
