Eagle Creek Trail - Columbia Gorge - Oregon

This is a hike in Oregon's Columbia Gorge. This is a twelve (12) mile hike from the Eagle Creek Trailhead to Tunnel Falls.This hike passes by dozens of waterfalls and has an elevation gain of 1200 feet. We have a full writeup of this hike on our website http://nwwalkabout.comTunnel Falls is 120 feet tall. The Eagle Creek Trail actually runs through a tunnel that was blasted into the solid rock directly behind the waterfall making for a spectacular view.
Parts of the Eagle Creek Trail are along steep cliffs. These were blasted when the trail was created in 1910. The footing is not level, so be prepared.
Loowit Falls, along the Eagle Creek Trail, is a waterfall that is just under 90 feet tall that cascades into a perfect lagoon.
