Oriented Lakes & Landforms in Argentina

Google Earth is a great way to visualize the extensive field of Oriented Landforms in Argentina.

The keyhole file here presents oriented landforms outlined with the generic PZ ejecta overlay. I encourage the viewer to turn the overlay on and off to validate the alignment suggested. No doubt many could be aligned differently, even by 180º. Some of these are simply members of large fields of splat marks. Others have water inclusions, reminding us of Carolina bays; could this be an early stage of their development, or perhaps a later one as they are worn away?

This field of view is ~ 10 kilometers across.

Greetings:

The structure you marked looks volcanic, one of your suggestions.

The large sand dune fields in the area of your placemark are interesting; these are on the orbital path down range of the PZ Impact crater at : Big Horn Basin , Wyoming.

The proposed Perigee Zero crater for the oriented landforms in the referenced post is graphically detailed as an overlay in the attached KMZ file, and is discussed on the PZ website.as the St. Luis Series .

I saw Sierras de las Quijadas from airplane and made me the same question. It seems is not a volcano or crater if not an very erosioned mountain sistem.-
