With the help of the new Lat-Long.com link (Sad to say, this link is no longer active) , I put together views of each state's highest point. Some are majestic mountains, some lesser but still impressive hills, and some are spots perceptable as high spots only to a surveyor. While this can be run as a tour, I suggest clicking on one location at a time and scanning around a little. Sites are alphabetical by states. Be sure to have 3D x 1 on. You may even want to try 3D x 3 for some of the really level states. By their very nature, many of the high spots are in remote areas, either mountainous or farmland, which means that most are low resolution. But this tour is more about geomorphology than fine detail. Enjoy. Hill
Edited 3-6-05: All state highpoints now have individual posts added as responses to this tour. Each has more information and links about the highpoint, as well as a placemark of its own. Edited 3-27-06 Small corrections and repair of broken links.
