Jean Auel's Earth Children Placemarks

Hi all I am new here and also a member of a forum for Jean Auel's Series of books called Earths Children. The time is during the last Ice Age and these placemarks are for all five books starting with Clan of the Cave Bear and ending with Shelters of Stone. With the help of Don from Donsmaps.com I have assembled the entire trek that Ayla and Jondalar took across Europe. If you are a fan of her books then this set of placemarks is for you. I would like to thank Jean Auel for writing such wonderful books and Don for making the great maps that helped me to set this up for everyone.

This is an interesting project you've done here. I read the first 5 books years ago and enjoyed them. I backtracked through the links and found your discussion concerning the creation of the placemarks. I've found that mapping fictional and non-fiction literature is a great use of Google Earth. I'm glad you are adding to the collection. Thanks for the well-researched and useful first post.

Thanks for the good word Hill. I have been a fan of hers for years and love the books. I am sure somethings in the placemarks are not 100% but they are close at least lol. I also have been thinking about doing up some placemarks for William Sarabande's First American series but most of them seem so vague it will not be as easy and since no one has really gotten into them like Auels books there is not alot of extra info to go by.

This is great G_M_B. I've read the first 2 books, now I'm going to dig out the others and finish the rest.
