Hi all This is a well known building sitting at the Champs-Elysées in Paris. This model has many transparencies and it has been made like this to show this is real photogrammetry. If you tilt it up and down it will be possible to realize that perspectives change, something that would be impossible to do simply from pictures, for example. It follows all optical, geometrical, geographical and topographical rules. These buildings (this one and our previous one - Quartier de la Madeleine) are at their precise places following their precise measurements as their environment as well. The reason for our building appear to be "floating in the space" happens because, in reality, our building is precisely located at its right altitude as in the real world but it doesn't seem the terrain is. There are solutions for that and that’s what we've been working on, but we would love to know if Google Earth's guys have thought about this as well... This is a heavy-load file, a massive building with several details, not suitable for < 16 years-old (as you would see! ) or for machines with less than a 1 Mb RAM + 64 Kb dedicated memory on graphics card as well. But, hey, we are talking about high definition models here, isn't it?!? ![]() There are several feedbacks we would like very much to receive: how does it work in your computer? Can you see it well? Is it flowing ok? Can you see details? If someone could give some feedback (maybe including computer's configuration: processor, RAM, graphics card and monitor) we would appreciate even more! Cheers, have a nice flying weekend and have good fun! Mario www.trimensions.fr |
