This is my first post. I am interested in using GE to with school kids to monitor climate change impacts on biodiversity. The project would seek to identify phenological changes eg in flowering times or the arrival of migratory birds. It would be used by students in many schools over large geographical areas and would have to run for many years. I have considered GIS but at the moment it is not accessible to most teachers and students. The attraction of GE is its accessibility. Can anyone advise on the feasibility of such a project or direct me to existing projects? Is there a data base that can record the GE lat/long points and time of sighting for each species being monitored? |
