I'm sorry to have to tell you that what you have listed as Boverton Castle is not a castle. Its correct name is Boverton Place. The original building on this site was a farm house, and was part of the demesne of the manor of Llantwit Major. Boverton Place was built by Roger Seys c.1589. The Seys family occupied the house until the middle of the 17th century, when it passed into the hands of the Jones family of Fonmon, near Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan. It was occupied until about 1780, and dismantled with the usable parts being sold.
