The tallest mountains in the world, by catagory. Whenever 2 or more peaks are very close, they are usually just counted as 1, and the next highest is added. Some peaks, mainly volcanos, have inconsistent measurements. These are noted when they occur. For the Europe set, the continent is considered to not include any of the old U.S.S.R. countries. This would have placed all peaks in the Caucasus region of Georgia. Australia is considered a stand-alone continent for the "7 peaks" set, but for the Oceania set, it includes Papua New Guinea & New Zealand. New Zealand itself does not follow greatest height, but lists the tallest peak on each island. Finally, Asia does not have a separate section, since all of it's peaks are covered in the World set.
