You've definitely got a single spiral there there, with two very well defined arms. I would guess that the bright yellow spot at the top is a background galaxy. Normally you tell if two galaxies are colliding or otherwise gravitationally interacting by looking for spashes (Search the Sky: "Antennae") or smears. These are too far away to see that. They could be an interacting group like M51 (Search the sky: M51). |
