NGC 6357 - Hi Def NASA Photo

'NGC 6357 is a large area of emission nebulosity in Scorpius.Located just two degrees north northeast of NGC 6334, it lies in an interesting section of the Milky Way.Although NGC 6357 is faint and can only be observed in fairly large telescopes, it is easily found by locating four seventh magnitude stars in a straight line, the northernmost of which lies in the heart of the nebula.Open cluster Pismis 24 is also located inside of NGC 6357. Pismis 24 is a 9.6 magnitude collection of about 15 stars, 4 arc minutes in diameter. You're going to need to click this again after Google Earth switches to SKY.
