If I remember my Introduction to Astronomy course correctly, I think that like 40% of stars are in double systems, and 10% are in triple systems. You could probably google up the correct percentages pretty easily.

I think that it's interesting that I think the same thing is true of galaxies, and of clusters of galaxies ...
