COLORS : They can be used to enhance a presentation..... or to chase your audience away! ...![]() I am not here to show you the best use of COLOR , but merely to instruct you in the means to use it. Remember, COLOR is a powerful element that can be mightily abused! Color can be added in two different ways, Human Readable and Computer Readable. If you want to make some text red, the Rune (Tag) would look like this: <font color="red">Your RED text would be here</font> (Human Readable) OR <font color="#FF0000">Your RED text would be here</font> (RGB Hexadecimal Computer Readable) And it would look like this, "Your RED text would be here" A list of many Human and Computer colors can be found here. Styles, Fonts, Sizes, Links, Alignment, Lists, Definitions, Quotes, Headers, and Images are all possible within the Description Balloon. Take a look at the Description Balloon and the actual Tags shown below. (Thanks to Seer, for doing the hard work.) Description Balloon: ![]() ![]() ![]() Remember you ARE in the ADVANCED Section! TAGs to produce the Balloon: ![]() ![]() This Placemark and Description are attached at the top for your convenience. Three simple rules you MUST obey: (or no one else will see your work) 1. Save the Placemark to your local hard drive... Right click on the name in My Places and "Save As..." 2. Make sure any images you are using reside on the WEB or you are saving the file as a KMZ. 3. For images to appear in the Community Layer, they MUST reside on the WEB, not locally. For more information on xhtml, check out this page. |
