I have yet to look at Manifold, though it seems there should be a way to export point attributes to a .mdb, .dbf , .xls file or whatever. A neat part of the asp & php scripts is that from within ArcMap you can do what ever spatial analysis you want and generate point attribute information that can be displayed in GE & GMaps from the one geodatabase file. When combined with something like like NetDrive 4.1 anyone you give ftp access to for the server where the geodatabase file resides can open and edit a mapping project file and associated databases. NetDrive allows you to connect to a server via FTP and shows up as a regular drive on your computer. At any rate, the thread should provide a decent start to those who have little or never setup a home webserver and are beginning to look into GE and GM databases p.s, on another note, I am thinking someone can not comprehend the idea's since they went off like a child in the school yard playing global wars again, HA! |

Google Maps in ESRI ArcGis by: Petr Zaburannyi Use Google map with your GIS project in ESRI ArcMap 9. Google Map are represented in ArcMap window as the addition to your ArcMap map. As you move around ArcMap the the location in the online viewer is updated on the fly (you can turn off it) and the extent of Google map will correspond to the extent of ArcMap map.
