Lake Florence lies 12 miles Northeast of Redoubt Volcano, the Eighth most dangerous volcano in the world. It is bounded on the West by Lake Clark National Park. It is near Cook Inlet's Redoubt Bay and just South of the Drift River. Looking Northward, one sees an immense active glacier accross the river.
