The worlds fastest aircraft

Santa's Sleigh (NATO codename: Cadeau)

Manufacturer: Elf works

First Flight: Unknown. This aircraft type is long-lived so it is assumed that multiple versions and upgrades have occurred.

Altitude: Classified. Pictures obtained from North American Air Defense (NORAD) seem to indicate a lack of pressurization, which may limit the Cadeau to altitudes below 6,000 metres (20,000 feet). There may or may not be supplementary oxygen, as any such mask is obscured by a white mass surrounding the pilot's face in all photos.

Cruise Speed: Classified. Pilot reports suggest a very high dash-speed capability with periods of slower speed/vertical maneuvering known as "down of a thistle" (origin unknown).

Maximum Range: The Cadeau is an extreme long-range aircraft. No official records have been filed; however, one source within Elf Works has said that the range of the "sleigh" makes the Boeing 777 Long Range "look like a beat-up`75 Pinto."

Distinctive Features: The Cadeau is an all-weather aircraft, with an infrared low-visibility emitter on the lead power-plant, and extremely precise digital "fly-by-reins" controls. Eyewitnesses report that this aircraft has vertical landing and take-off capability (and often arrives with a distinctive "clatter"). The landing gear seems designed primarily for snow-covered surfaces. NORAD has been tracking the Cadeau since 1955 - apparently the sleigh is an excellent radar target with little stealth capability.

Payload: Classified (rumored to be absolutely tremendous).

Power-plantt: Nine-reindeer thrust.

Crew: One (outfitted in a special flame-retardant, stretchable fabric suit)

A warning has gone out. It reads :-
Pedestrians must be aware that this machine passing overhead poses a distinct threat to their welfare. Occasionally, large pieces of burnt fuel have been known to fall from this craft, causing much concern except to rose growers who tend to call it "Rudolph's Release". It is good fertiliser and helps irradicate black-spot.
Please pass this on to anyone you know who may be out after dark on the 24th to 25th Dearcember.

Re: The worlds fastest aircraft

I also read somewhere that the Cadeau has very short take-off and landing capabilities. When the MoD did their research, they recorded it landing and taking-off within distances of 10-25 metres, which is about the size of an average roof, while stopping to unload small amounts of payload and to refuel.

The fuel (although witnessed from a distance with night-vision goggles) appeared to be carrots. While the pilot was reported to be eating a small pie and drinking a substance out of a small sherry glass. The MoD are curious as to how the vegetable-based fuel works.

If they find out how to incorporate this vegetable fuel into fuel usable by passenger aircraft, we could all be travelling on our holidays propelled by cabbages and brussels sprouts!

Here is it's radar signature as reported by The Airborne Research & Survey Facility based at Oxford Airport:

And these pictures of the pilot were taken by a passer-by with a camera on his mobile phone:

DON'T SHOOT AT THE JINGLE-BELLS AT NIGHT-TIME!!

Just thought I'd pass along this little bit of information to all those hillbillies who have nothing better to do than shoot their 12-gauges up in the air.

I done that one year, heard somebody cuss me out, & didn't get no presents.

Pretty much the same specs only with Ozzie mods

Some believe the mods make it just that much faster !
Seasons Greetings to all.

Just GREAT!
Now we have a challenge to find St. Nikolaus, or Santa Claus, on the GE imagery! It's rumoured that Rovaniemi in Finland is a good place to look. As a norwegian, I strongly disagree!
Here's a webpage with info; Santa's homepage.
