Water Mountain?

Or is this some sort of mapping error. There is an island, (Ka ula), just to the left from the place mark, with no terrain at all, but the area of water that is raised up doesn't look like it would match up to the island, And the heights don't match up either. The island is suppose to be 548 feet/167 meters at its highest point, (according to Wikipedia), the highest spot on the water mountain is only 360 feet/109 meters.

This is a topography error. There is a rather informative compendium of Google Earth errors HERE. Your data error is among those mentioned.
On top of everything else, the sun angle and the reflective ocean surface make for a very unique appearance.
