Licence key

I have recently upgraded to 4.3 although I used an earlier version. I bought a licence previously for plus which expired. I have bought another new plus licence today, but I am not being given the option to enter the key when I start GE 4.3.7191.6508 (beta). I have tried deleting all the other versions on my machine, but nothing changes. I use a MAC intel with OSX 10.5
I would be really grateful if someone could offer advice.
