Hello ![]() Is a Google Earth Layer Network Link available? I'm so tired with the Google Earth Layers. The first thing is that I don't own the fastest computer. When I turn on the GEC Layer it takes 10 to 30 seconds, sometimes longer to get the layers on screen. But GE loads first those layers that are far away from the middle of the GE window and even those wich are not in the window. The layers in the middle of the screen are the last. ![]() I use the Wikimapia and GE-Hacks Network Link, and I can tell you both work very well and fast. They load only the layers that are in the GE window and they don't slow down my computer. Now I would like to have a network link for the GEC layers too. Does someone know if it is available? Thanks, Felippo |

Thanks NormB But I prefer to continue here. Test -Gec layers are deactivated, both caches, disk and memory are cleared. Now I shut down GE. -I restart GE and type in "Bad Pyrmont" and go to an altitude of 200m. -Now I turn on the GEC layer. After 9 seconds (I have a very fast connetion) the layers are loaded. But there is no layer in the GE window visible(there is none at that place). -Now I interrupt my internet connection. -Then I zoom out to see how many GEC layer have been loaded all around the world. Result: Thousands of placemarks have been loaded. I'm over Bad Pyrmont, Germany and GE loads the complete layers for London, UK, Europe and even the USA? I don't dare to turn on my layers over a big city, because it freezes my 3GHz computer, and I don't dare to fly over the globe with activated layers, it became impossible. ![]() Do I have to buy this to make GE run properly again? ![]() Best Regards, Felippo |
