Okay, for those who travel looking for places to sunbathe au naturel... Here's a thread for nude beach locations around the world. Go ahead and reply to this post, providing placemarks to nude or clothing optional beaches you know of. Little Makena

A little further out, here's Little Makena (or Little Beach) on Maui. Whether you opt for clothing optional or not, it's a truly beautiful beach...

Kalalau Beach
|
|
Still in Hawaii, here's Kalalau Beach on Kauai. The only downside to this beach -- 11 miles hike to get there! But, the trail is fantastic (or you can kayak). Take plenty of water though!

Red Sands Beach
|
|
Okay, one more for Hawaii. Maui again, this time. Red Sands Beach is actually in a collapsed cinder cone. The crushed red lava rock makes for the red "sand." Tough on the feet though. A short hike from the road, but well worth it... Spectacular scenery and beach.

Near San Franscisco, this is a popular beach that isn't too difficult to get to!

This one is relatively local one to me... San Onofre State Beach (trail 6) in California. The nice thing about this beach is that it is recognized by the rangers as a clothing optional beach and they leave beachgoers alone (as long as nobody is doing anything lewd). A bit of a hike, but a great beach with thousands of visitors during warm weekend days.

Vancouver has an awesome nude beach. Kind of a little care free utopia where you can get hot pizza, cold beer or other things BC is famous for delivered right to your beach towel. Bring something to carry the change! check out Wreck Beach directly adjacent to the University of BC Campus.

Little Tribune Beach, Hornby Island, BC
|
|
Was here last weekend passing through. Beautiful, quite, sandy beach with great walking around the unique rock formations along the little peninsula that seperates it from the larger "Tribune Beach" to the east. Hornby Island is a perfect place to get off the rat track and take a time out. One of my favourite islands in the Georgia Strait (b/w Vancouver Island and the Mainland). I don´t understand, why you need to talk about such thing !!
Nearly all the beaches at the sea within former German Democratic Republic are used by nude an textil swimmers at the same time without any problems.
If somebody doesn´t want to wear clothes while swimming, nobody will force him to do so.
It´s no problem in this country!

Quite simply, not all countries allow the same freedom to sunbathe nude as yours apparently does. For those of us in countries that restrict nude sunbathing to specific beaches, this could be a valuable source of information -- both for those in that country, as well as for those just visiting...

If you give the parking lot attendant lady a 6-pack of cold diet pepsi, she will let you park for FREE!
Haulover is a blast, and it is "clothing optional" which allows people to adjust to taking things off slowly. Word to the wise, the first time you go to a clothing optional beach, put sunblock on posterior regions. I couldn't sit down for a week after that because of sunburn.

Well, I know that some countries are mor restrictive in this case.
But I wanted to tell you, that this forum is international and if somebody wants to know about nude bathing beaches in USA, he should tell us.
If he simply asks about nude swimming ( or bathing?) beaches, he should write his questions down that way.
Lots of states allow nude swimming and sunbathing (exspecially the scandinavian states and the states around the baltic sea).
As long as the beaches are not declared as textil beaches (by trafficsigns) they are free for textil and nude swimmers.
Most times it is normal that nudes and textils are at the beaches at the same times and nobody cares.
I please you, to understand my first message in this way.

Look for the faint diagonal lines on the beach, slightly ABOVE and BELOW the placemark. This is the shadow of a small wooden fence that separates the clothing optional section from the rest of the beach. This fence is only a few feet tall, but it's clearly visible on Google Earth.

Yeah, I visited the beach around 6years ago. At that time, I did not know whether there was a nude beach or not, I just walked along the north beach. Suddenly, I was suprised by the unexpected scene filled with naturalists. Anyway, I think it was a great experience.
When I have some time, I will update some detailed information.

proudindiv is right...and not right...Wreck Beach is actually a string of beaches that stretches from the breakwater (proudinva's kml) and wraps all around the UBC endowment lands to Arcadia Beach. The entire stretch is clothing optional. You can see, if you zoom in on proudindiv's kml the section of Wreck Beach, that this is the "main" Wreck Beach known by most and accessed by the 400-some-odd stairs of trail 6.

In American culture, nudity is a big taboo, it isn't socially accepted. A girl I was dating called me a pervert for going to nude beaches and asked me why! I kid you not, I literally got asked why I sunbathe nude. I can appreciate your question, though, if you have been in Germany your entire life it would be difficult to understand why people make a big deal out of it.
Radio show host Tom Leykis has "flash friday" where women are asked if they see a car with its headlights on during the day, to flash their breasts at the car. In America, the fact that nudity and even toplessness are so taboo, that's the gimmick because it's exciting and humourous at the same time. In Europe people would think that "flash friday" is a waste of time, people would wonder "what's the point?"

But, you have this as Devil's Slide Beach - no such thing. It's Grey Whale Cove. There's a nude lying on a red towel, north end of the beach. Judging by the pose, I'd say male.

Your photo is of the infamous falling-down neighborhood in Daly City, CA, just south of San Francisco. I'm not sure of the exact location on GE, but I've linked some possibilities. (I haven't tried to research how these places match up with Digital Globe dates and media reports.)
Such a gorgeous place, but risky during the rainy season and during the upcoming "big one."
