Show us your desktop

I'm currently using a picture that I took at the 1979 Long Beach GP.

To capture an image of your desktop on MS Windows, hold ALT down and hit PrtScr. Open an image editing program such as MS paint, select File-->New, then Edit-->Paste.

At work...dreaming of being here:

On the cliff trail, Half Moon Bay, CA. (Hey, where did my icons go? Must have done something wrong.)

Talk about a mess, this was my desktop a few years ago. The picture of my car was taken at the entrance to the Fontana Lake dam in western North Carolina.

A friend with a lot of free time and Photoshop converted it into this

Re: Show us your desktop

Bob - This was a great idea. It's fun to see what people want to look at everyday and the icons can say a lot! (I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one still using AOL, Groovy. I see most so far are using XP, 2 of us Vista. Ploppy is very tidy, even at the beach! Barnstormer's redecorating! And Bob, Bob, Bob, I just don't know what to say about your alternate desktop. )

This is my home computer. I took this shot from my old office window in SF. It's the Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Cathedral of San Francisco. Quite a sight for my eight years there. I'll be doing a post on this soon.

My 4 y.o. grandson said, "What's that castle on your computer, Grandma?"

Re: Show us your desktop

Ciao

I had planets, the Earth, the Moon, the Sun and, ça va sans dire, all kinds of planes, but one day I decided to switch into music. After two years (and a new computer), my desktop is still there:

Jaco Pastorius and his fretless Fender bass

Jaco Pastorius - The Chicken
Jaco Pastorius - Naima and Continuum

Jaco Pastorius Park, Oakland Park, FL
Jaco Pastorius Park on Google Earth

Must-have album: Jaco Pastorius

Bye
b

PS: I promise to get rid of that icons mess one day
