This Galaxy looks like Andromeda as seen on top, an eliptical core and apiral arms. I was wondering if the galaxy near the eliptical core is in front or is at back of this galaxy, great find!

This galaxy is NGC 5701 (select "New General Catalog" from "Backyard Astronomy"). Apparently the professional astronomers think it's interesting as well. Google "NGC 5701", there's an article about its structure:

Apparently NGC 4608 is considered similar to your guy. Pull it up, it has a much stronger bar than your NGC 5701.
