Four pretty nebulas
|
These four pretty nebulas arenīt in Google Sky. So, I put them in place.
They are Rotten Egg, Hourglass, Double Jet and Gomezīs Hamburger. The photos belong to Hubble.The nebula Hourglass is 8,000 light years from Earth (Musca).
The nebula Double Jet (M2-9) is 2,100 light years from our planet (Ophiuchus).
The nebula of Pumpkin (or Rotten Egg) is 5,000 light years from us (Puppis).
In 1985 the chilean Arturo Gomez discovered the nebula Gomezīs Hamburger, from the observatory in Cerro Tololo (Chile) and it is located 6,500 light years from you and me (Sagittarius).
