Bright anomally over Orion's Shoulder?

I noticed it as soon as I passed it. Some bright non spherical flare, perhaps a supernova?

There seems to be a dark cloud of dust to the right of the anomally. I think it may be the star's light reflecting off the dust. I hope this helps
