I did respond but couldnt add much more than i said actually
I did take the whole pic into jasc paint shop pro 9, zoomed and redid some enhancing effects and so on , still think it looks like a plane but there is a horizontal join mark there where sat photos overlap so couldnt decide anything much more to say about it

Couldnt decide either, but evidently no IA's going to comment, so will save others objects for a rainy day and put my efforts into finding someone who can answer the question asked. Not fault of anyone here, can go look myself if all else fails.
Regards.

It doesn't seem to hold together under critical analysis, looks like natural terrain and shadows.

Enlarged.

Enhanced, object appears to have straight lines but is blotchy.

And pushed, it looses any definition and is consistent with terrain in surrounding area.

In my opinion, it is nothing that wouldn't occur there naturally and is part of the surrounding terrain.

http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/March-2008/Without-a- Trace/Fossetts-Last-Flight/
****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** A California highway patrolman saw Fossett's plane flying at a low altitude near Mammoth Lakes in midmorning, and a ranch hand reported seeing the plane disappear around a ridge to the west of Ne-vada's Mount Grant—the last confirmed sighting of Fossett. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Which ranch hand are they talking about in this news article...RB? Must have great eyesight to spot a plane that far away...that's at least 15 miles away
That would put this plane in Cotton Wood Canyon area
