Couldn't agree with you more. Actually looking at images 'as YOU evidently do' is vital to the task. Think 1st set of coords is vegetation and/or clearings between, possibly visible on old images at 38.599817 -119.236075
Unable too make out 2nd set of coords on old images, though my personal opinion is light colored rock or ground scarring.

What you have quoted here and what she said in the other article are two totally different subjects.
In the other article she stated he had money troubles...then he faked his heath to hide his money in a divorce...well which one was it, did he have money or not, neither of which is any of Ryan's business nor is it any part of a CAP search.
Then she stated he was having an affair with at least one possibly two woman.
What does this have to do worth the search and what is a CAP PR person doing making statements that are just rumors like this. I guess she was sleeping in training when they taught Rumors and Propaganda.
Also sounds a little like slander, and defamation of character to me...maybe to a Chicago Lawyer also.

She is no doubt entitled to her own opinion, though I guess that if quoted correctly, she will be a tad unpopular in some quarters.
Odd that whenever somebody rich or famous goes missing, that conspiracy theories arise. Normal folk would of just make a mistake and crashed a plane they were not used to flying, but if your famous and loaded (compared to us mere mortals) then dying cant be made that simple.
Despite the entertaining speculation, unless someone can come up with facts that support theory that SF disappeared for either financial or personal reasons, I remain convinced that he crashed while on nothing more that a short pleasure flight and didn't survive. Unlucky, but rich and famous people are on a par with the rest of us when its comes to meeting your maker. It happens!
When his remains are one day located, I can see the film title already. ( Shaming Private Ryan! )
As an after thought, given the million too one chance that he is found living with 'Lord Lucan', would like it be known that 4wd wheels are expensive and that a respray for a motor with only 10miles on the clock aint cheap, so will be in the queue too sue, along side a Penguin.

If SF...faked his own death...then he would have needed help on this one...I would turn him in for any money(in a heartbeat)...heck I would turn him in for nothing and still get a stack of BF(national enquirer)...time to start thinking outside the box on this one... 
Robert Davis, who is investigating Fossett's death for a $25 million payout to his survivors, says the kind of plane Fossett was flying can be dismantled very easily, and that there's no proof he actually took off from the Baron Hilton's Ranch.

What about testimony from the pilot who saw him take off ???
First you have to prove he faked his death...right now this is just a missing persons case....

Yes, Fosset's case is just a missing person case till now.
Nobody knows where he went. You have to search inside a circle which radius is defined by half his flight time capacity - around 2 hours or less it seems.
Searching by air in just a part of this circle have given nothing, but you cannot say that Fossett have vanished because you have not search the whose probable crash area. The crash is probably there, just waiting to be found.
When you have searched the whole area thoroughly without success, then you can say that there is something bizarre.
Everybody knows that searching by air is not enough. You must walk across the whole area. Some searched from their car but specialist say you could not find an object by just looking from your car. So, some places which have been searched this way must be searched again by foot.
So, Ryan declarations saying that if Fosset was there they would have found it is at least "laughable". Others of her declarations about Fossett is not her affair.
Now, we cannot surely say that Fossett could not have faked his disparition. We don't know. We don't know either he did it or not. Does somebody knows for sure? When some things seem to be not right, insurances detectives search clues. Let them do their work. That is their affair. They know what they do. We don't know all the facts. They will verify all fact s and give their conclusions. It's their interests.
The problem is journalists with their articles put some confusion in all that , mixing facts ,rumors and interpretations. And when a CAP officer add his "grain of salt", you go nowhere.
I wait with interest the next land searches which could be bring us interesting clues.

At this point in time, and until proven different, there is only one person that knows what happened to SF and that is SF.
There are rumors and speculation as to what did or did not actually happen and most of those are printed to sell paper as that is why the media is in business.
PR people are there to reveal facts and should only do that.
