We have a new volunteer in our efforts that has agreed to act as a liaison to the Canadian search entities. In fact he is an experienced Canadian SAR personnel with 20 years experience. He has agreed to contact the Boychuk searchmaster and relay known facts.
Until that happens lets grab some coffee, dig in, and read out some imagery.
This last sentence is the best one since this new thread started! Thanks!

I think many of the "old timers" here knew just what you meant with this statement...
For what it is worth I think you deserve the Award for the most improved, most knowledge gained, most helpful with outside image processing, and the most likely to make some one laugh...thank you for you contributions...
Man it so sucks that I have to agree with you 99% most of the time! I agree again...here's Blue Pengi's award:

Very nice job...BP should have it enlarged and printed/framed, well deserved...

I have been asked by Ken to act as the liaison between the Boychuk Family and the other SAR groups for this mission. I have sent out initial emails introducing ourselves and what we are doing. On Monday I will contact the other SAR organizations to gather information for us to put together a briefing document for searchers to read before viewing the imagery.
Welcome Greg! Good to have you here!

You may be the only one pushing, but I for one agree with what you are saying. Amazes me that we can aquire/be granted access to images of the quality available, yet be unable to discover if some simple details are fact or fiction.
Well it's a little bit reassuring to meet people who haven't abandoned all hope to obtain one day some true info...

OK by me that he gets a pass. I really have trouble making sense out of whatever he is attempting to say.
Blue21, if your personal logic drives you searching outside the imagery, it is not a problem for me, in French or in English.
Have a good day.
Dear Mr. Penguin,
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Why would I want to search outside of the imagery that has been provided? Searching outside would only be looking at what the area looked like before Boychuk made his ill fated flight and would contribute nothing towards finding the poor man and his airplane. That would be pure nonsense. If that is the interpretation that you get when you read these posts then that would explain why it is difficult for me to follow your logic.
I suggest that you reread what I wrote about the accepted concept of beginning a SAR at the last know position of the object of the search. In this case that would be Spense Bridge. If you have evidence that Boychuk did not report his position over Spense Bridge, then I would be very glad to see it and maybe we can settle the issue.
