And 60kts ground speed is not unusual..especially with those kinds of headwinds...
In cruise he would be moving through the airmass at 110kts..but the airmass is moving the opposite direction he is...the ground speed would be the True airspeed minus the head wind value. In strong winds you can actually go backwards without turning around.
Check. Thanks.

Yes, I just showed you the one I downloaded for my XPC, which has a better graphics card...Now I just updated my HP laptop that's running Vista..
Google Earth 4.2.0205.5730 Build Date Nov 13 2007 Build Time 17:56:09 Renderer DirectX 8 Operating System Microsoft Windows Vista (Service Pack 0) Video Driver 000010DE (00007.00015.00010.09815) Max Texture Size 4096x4096 Server kh.google.com
I will see if makes a difference on Vista, as I was having the network problems the other day...I've already noticed that my graphics on my laptop aren't as clear as my workhorse (which isn't a handy dandy laptop)...
Graphics card on this is HP---> Nvida Geforce Go6150

You convinced me that Ron Boychuk may have attempted a direct route (I still think that it was not a very good idea, nevertheless...)
Thanks a lot for all of us here.

My XP computer is a Dell XPC 2g ram, ATI Radeon X1300pro...and I still can't get the vista laptop to emulate GE from my XPC computer...I'll keep trying or else I will have to upgrade my laptop's graphic card....
