need help with crashing problem osx

Hi I have downloaded GE numerous times hoping they would have solved the crashing on startup issue I am experiencing with my powerbook g4 osx v10.4.11. I have found solutions but they are for a PC. Any help would be great I love GE and Hope I can use the new version...
