Doesn't seem to have been posted before....
Here's a place that being into airplanes I would love to live!
Its basically a residential airpark.
There are many home, some fairly average, some are million dollar homes. Most of the homes however have something different - parking space for an aircraft.
At the centre of the community is a runway, which incidently, pilots living there can turn the landing lights on using a remote control for night landings.....puts a whole new meaning on the phrase 'did you leave the landing light on dear'!!
See the website for more information...!
But with address such as 202 Cessna Blvd, you can guess what sort of place this
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Phil, UK

Don't ya just love people with money?
Here's a link to one north of Los Angeles. Total opposite of the above, this one is in the desert.
Rosamond Skypark
There was a link to this before at a place called Jumbolair in Ocala. John Travolta had to move from Spruce Creek to Jumbolair because his 707 was too noisy.

Wow! It would be amazing to live in a community like that.

Kinda hard on the ears though...

Here's a neat one outside of Tempe, AZ. Stellar Airpark

You can see the newer homes being built on the SW side of the runway and in the NW side, the completed ones with pools, tennis courts and aircraft outside.

It must be good to be rich.

It is the most amazing community. Learn more about the Spruce Creek Fly-in at http://www.7fl6.com
Also, the site http://www.sprucecreekfly-in.com contains the latest news, calendar and activities at Spruce Creek.

from the site:
Quote:

The Spruce Creek Fly-in Community is the world's most famous residential airpark. With a 4,000 ft lighted runway and a GPS approach, the private airport at the center of the community (7FL6) can accommodate anything from a Stearman to a Gulfstream. Originally a navy airfield during WWII, it evolved into the world's largest residential fly-in community. Today, almost 5,000 residents, 1,300 homes and 700 hangars share a unique life in this private gated village. The first thing a visitor sees after driving through the security gates is a sign that sumarizes the spirit of this community: “Caution children and adults at play”. Truly a piece of pilot's heaven.

A championship golf course and Country Club and 24-hr patrolled security complements the safety, privacy and enjoyment of our residents. John Travolta and many other celebrities have enjoyed the Spruce Creek Fly-In lifestyle and privacy. Current home prices vary from a $165,000 condo to several million dollar hangar mansions.
