Don't laugh. I always believed in the moon landings til I caught the Japanese lunar satellite photo of the Apollo 17 landing site. There's nothing THERE. Just dust. Even if you don't get details, there should be a fruit fly sized shape that should contrast against the gray dust.

Ohhh NASA... Care to explain?

Dude- Where's my lander??:

*sigh* I posted the pic, and the link. Scour the pic for yourself. Which, BTW- is BEAUTIFUL. There should be something reflective, a shape, SOMETHING.

Anything?

Like what? Erratics and regolith aren't "sparkly". What do you think should be there?

I keep looking- and there's nothing there. Not even a tiny black speck that should denote something not made of grey dust. There's a black speck way off to the left, But I checked, that isn't the landing spot. In fact, I have no idea what that other thing is.

The picture's good enough quality that I can see the 2 shallow craters in the valley, and even the lighter grey spots of the soil.... But there isn't one shred of any evidence of a lander there. I left the links to the landing site thumbnail and a full scale pic of the landing site. Feel free to scour till your eyes bulge. I cranked my image software to 'ridiculous' and looked. I threw the thing into Photoshop- monkeyed with it every way I knew how. If we went- someone stole the lander the module took off from. Or the whole site's buried under a freak dust storm... Which is possible, given the static charges on the moon, and what all the lander's made of. In which case, I'll have a nice plate of crow and a small salad, please.

*sigh* I just wanna see the stupid lander- not just the site. It's kinda like getting an empty box on your Birthday.

Your picture from orbit is not nearly high enough resolution to see anything as small as a lander on the surface.

My picture does not show the lander because it is far from it and looking in another direction.

If you want to see a view of the lander, continue reading...

The information is there with a little research. Conspiracy theories thrive by counting on people not to look and only to repeat and forward half-truths and faulty information. Likewise, don't just look at what I show you - go further and really investigate.

A place to start is http://www.google.com/moon/ which has a good summary of the Apollo Missions with a few pictures and a path superimposed on the moon. Here are two links, provided as links because the photos are too big for the forum format.

Panorama of the area near the LM.

Another panorama.

Looking back at the landing site's flag from the lander. Cone-shaped objects are thrusters on the lander.

For more look at the following index, read descriptions, and view the images. There are more views of the lander here. Realize that photographing the lander was no longer of great interest. There were already many images of landers on the Lunar surface. The crew had limited time and film and were interested in recording new things.

There is definitely more proof then required to convince any doubter that the moon landing was genuine.
Check out the website below:

You have been reading too many conspiracy theories
Stick to the facts.
