Thats pretty cool. I never thought of looking. Not sure if i should add them to the collection on top of the forum though seeing as it isnt a actual data picture. If enough are found and people want them there I could start a new folder for street view aircraft.

Here's a plane landing at LAX. I'm assuming it's landing because of the photo position in relation to the runway?

This is all excellent and I'm looking forward to trying it out for myself. Currently using the 3.5 Beta which I have, literally, just downloaded.

Hi Daddiochap, if you are referring to Google Earth, you need 4.3.7204 Beta version Here

Same Aircraft as above post but I got the BELLY!!!!! Things Ive learned in this early search. First you cannot expect to see the aircraft in flight from the satellite images as they are not the same, simple observation but it did not don on me imediately and second NOT all "street view" images allow you to look "up" directly above the vehicle. Makes for a fun search and I hope others can find the challenge worthy, Happy Hunting.

RWY 22L Departure at ORD. You can back this up and get rotation to airborne as Irving Park Rd. is parrallel to RWY22l. New tip....if you dont see an aircraft in the eastbound lane then switch to the westbound image on the other side of the median. Images are taken at different times.[image] [/image]

Hi MNJ, Very good idea, the possibilities for helping collections and other IDs where no other photos are available, despite the images for Google Earth and Street View not being taken at the same time,if that is correct, are great.
Your capture of the FEDEX DC10 in the bubbles is brilliant.
All the best

Steps to using Street View GE.
1. GE 4.3 required.
2. Be sure to toggle Street View Layer.
3.When viewing a post with a link, be sure to double click the bubble zoomed in on.
4. If you want to step forward or backward a frame simply click "exit photo" in the upper right and then drag the images to the frame you want.
5. Rotate etc. works well for orientation of the image/bubble.
6. Posting a link in the forum is basically the same as with satellite images however you must place your pin prior to double clicking the image bubble.
Measuring tool makes things go haywire so Id suggest not using it.

This aircraft appear to be a SWA B737 departure from San Diego Airport. Looks like a climbing right turn. [image] [/image]
