yeah, this is probably a practice range for bombing. if you look around you can see some bomb craters and such lying around. to the NNE is a triangle with a bullseye incribed in it. that also has the number 3 in the top corner. so i can only deduce that the fake airfield to the south is target 1, the "bullseye" here is target 2, and the triangle with inscribed bullseye is target 3.

check out the shadow cast by the building. It looks more like an oil driller than anything.

A bit immaculate for target ranges aren't they?

billbaitsg,
I just wanted to point out to you that you have the bomb sites marked wrong. According to bomb target #3, the marker for #2 is placed incorrectly. Look at 37"37'41.14"N, 116"50'54.06"W
This is where the second marker should be. If you see carefully you can make out a number 2 above the circles within the triangle, the same layout as the 3rd triangle.

I am a new member on Google Earth and an avid researcher of Area 51. While panning SSW of the base noticed another dry lake bed with a small airstrip/ hanger and the smaller Janet airplanes that transport workers to area 51.
Just outside of the hanger appears to be an aircraft with diamond shaped wings unlike any other I have ever seen,
Elevation was 3930 ft. with the pointer at 36-55-40.79 N and 116-00-26-27 W.
Anyone know what kind of experimental aircraft this could be?
Thanks.
