Charles de Gaulle's birthplace is wrong. See real house at this post. I know. I live round the corner.
I've noticed there are many mistakes in H21's placemarks. GE users beware!

You posted that Mount Hermon Summit is in Syria. Wrong, it's in Lebanon. You can only access it from Lebanon. Didn't you notice the border line ?

H21 you are genius!!! I am simply overwhelmed. Never mind the errors I notice others have pointed out. What is more pertinent is the vast range of topics you have covered; ofcourse it seems you have to be more careful about exact locations of places.

hi H21
In your "50 most important arcaeological sites" I feel the Indus Valley sites of Mohenjodaro and Harappa in present day Sind, Pakistan, and the Lothal site in India could be considered for inclusion as these were part of an ancient civilisation well before 2500 B. C.

The location of the Hotel Matignon in Paris is wrong. It is the place of the Quai d'Orsay (ministry foreign affairs), whereas the Hotel Matignon (Prime Minister) is 57 rue de Varennes...

You have put a lot of time and work into putting all this onto GE, but how would it be if you made some basic research first?
Basically ALL elevations for for the Tibetan high plateau are incorrect and so are many names. Your postings are creating a lot of confusion and should be removed or corrected.
Just to give you the basic idea, here are some examples.
Ulugh Muztagh - you give it at 7723m. A very old and incorrect reading. True altitude is 6973m.
Kukushili - The peak close by Ulugh Muztagh (east), which you give at 6615m, without a name is 6360m.
"Tchong Korlig Mag" - Given at 6770m. Incorrect name and altitude. True elevation 6860m and the name should be corrected to Bukadaban Feng or also known as Xinqing Feng in Chinese.
"Kingoskar" - Given at 6288m. Incorrect altitude. True SRTM 6305m. The name is incorrect in many ways. The official name is Kangzhagri. If you tried to put the old name, given by Sven Hedin in 1896 it should be Konung Oscar II Fjäll.
I could go on and on for days, but I don't have the time or energy to do so. If you want to post a lot of stuff on GE, please research what you're posting before spewing out erroneous info all over the place. For correct altitudes for Asia and (in most cases) names - have a look at: http://www.viewfinderpanoramas.org/prominence.html#Asia
