I've just noticed, via Carmedic's post , that France has got street view Why have our Gallic cousins got this feature before us? It is an outrage, and could spark a diplomatic crisis. Was Nelson simply wasting good cannon balls?

Probably no Google photomobile has a steering wheel on the right-hand side.

Im thrilled they have expanded outside the USA. Ive never had the chance to travel in Europe and am thoroughly enjoying the scenery Ive seen thus far. I am very much looking forward to future countries being added. Come on GE I want to see more of the world at ground level for many reasons. Its already enticed me to start traveling abroad and learn of some new places.......

Since a lot of the route the camera car took matches the route of the TDF could it mean that Google is looking for extra exposure it would get from a major sporting event?

Maybe the Streetview people thought the 360° views would be lost on people with one-eyed vision? Or maybe they couldn't afford the Congestion Charge .
