Lathrop State Park provides a beautiful Colorado setting with the Spanish Peaks looming on the horizon. Unlike most Colorado reservoirs where trout is the primary catch, Martin and Horseshoe lakes offer catfish, bass, walleye, trout and blue gill. In the summertime enjoy a warm water beach at Martin. Horseshoe Lake provides a wakeless setting for canoeists, kayakers, and sailors. The Lathrop campground offers wide, private spaces and power is provided for the recreational vehicle enthusiast. Colorado is a nice place. It gets very cold though.
