These places have been well perused before, and there are many BBS placemarks located here. But the new (primary) database has seen many changes here. Most of the old BBS layer placemarks are no longer accurate. A smaller, but higher resolution, area has replaced that seen in the old (legacy) database. Placemarked are a few changes and updates. Many of the placemarks are augmented with short descriptions and photo links. There is still lots to be found and described.

Nice stuff there Hill Its great to know what some of those planes there are now
One of the most interesting things i find on othe base in fact is a vehicle which has just passed one of the gates.......who are they? what have they been working on etc Could be a cleaner/janitor......could be the commander of a 'black' project - could be both
Thanks Phil

I believe this plane is a Rutan design, as suggested by an earlier post. Specifically, I think it is the ATTT project. More info about the project can be found here. http://www.scaled.com/projects/ATTT.html

You wouldn't happen to know the location where Pouncho Barnes Bar and motel used to be?

This post and others at Edwards need updating or removal to the archives. I'll add it to the list.
