Excellent post!!!
I've done some overlay work on US coast defenses from the early 20th Century, but not nearly on the scale as your post.
An idea for your work: In descriptions, it would be interesting to see photos of a site, possibly from the war years (if available), but also as it currently exists. A lot of work, but perhaps some of the chaps who've commented on your work might give you a hand.
Cheers!

Sock Monkey
Many of the sites do have photographs in the placemarks, some contemporary, others dating back to WWII.
I have a number of helpers now who have submitted photos of sites in their area and are actively seeking out more.
I'll be adding these and other user submitted sites in the next update. Any further help is appreciated.
Cheers

Hi, Great work on the list - I just wanted to let you know that pillbox s0000760 at Isfield Place, Sussex is incorrectly placed - but not by much..
I am a Land Surveyor and I surveyed the entire Estate in 2005 and on my plans I have it marked at 50.56'48.48" N 0.03'31.07"E on the other side of the garden to it's posted position.
Don't know if you'll care but its still in great condition, the interior is carpeted and painted for a childs playden it was a really surprise find during the survey. I also seem to remember that there are what look like anti-tank bollards in the field to the south. Part of many in the area.
Regards
Ash Johnson Surveyor

Great project.
However, I've noticed that (in Whitehaven as I know it well), the locations are way off the mark. Is it possible for me to update a couple of locations?
Thanks.

A wonderful post, cptpies. Thank you. 5 stars from me for sure!
I found this website handy when trying to envisage your place marks.
Thanks again

I've finally gotten round to updating this post with corrected locations. Many thanks to those who sent corrections. Apologies to those who sent me images to include but I had so many the file became too large to upload and I don't want to rely on a free image host. Therefore, unfortunately, I will not be including them.
Cheers
