Hi,
Hopefully this isn't a misuse of the forum as I posted a similar request in the general forum, but it seems this is the more apprpriate section.
I'm trying to get National Forest boundaries into GE. They don't seem to be there by defult. National and state parks are, but not NF. Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks -

Be careful what you ask for...
Here are the boundaries as downloaded from the US Forest Service FSGEODATA Clearinghouse. (Select Vector Data Gateway) at:
http://svinetfc4.fs.fed.us/template/Home.jsp
I imported and saved it in GE Pro w/o any additional formatting. The KMZ file is *LARGE* at, +/- 3 Mb.
The link above however will allow for custom selection if anything less than full coverage for 50 states is required.
Good luck!

This set works better if you select it at the root, say edit, turn on advanced, then change the alpha channel for the polygons to 0. This makes renders the face invisible and lets you see just the national forest boundary outlines against the landscape.

This is wonderful stuff!
Perhaps this was posted before the capacity to set the opacity of the fill was added to GE. I set the opacity to 40% in the first forest polygon, then shared the characteristics in the Folder.
I love the detail!
