Google Lunar X PRIZE

The Google Lunar X PRIZE is a $30 million competition for the first privately funded team to send a robot to the moon, travel 500 meters and transmit video, images and data back to the Earth.

This KML allows you to explore the Teams, Preferred Partners, and Organizations involved in the PRIZE. Watch dynamic content, including images and YouTube videos, and delve deeper into the contestants in one of the greatest races of all time.

NOTE: Does not work in Google Maps yet. Earth only.

I say Venus should be next....It is alot tougher than the moon or Mars....I beleive the Soviet Union still holds the record there...Beat The US flat out.
