Lesson Plan- Introductory Activity for Google Earh

Here is a lesson plan that can be used as an icebreaker and an introduction to Google Earth.

Target age group: middle and high school.


Objective: To get the students familiar with the Google Earth program; to review scientific concepts (coordinates, geographic locations, metric to English conversions).

Students will be able to prepare a brief introduction of themselves using the features offered by the Google Earth software.

Preparation:
o Access to the computer lab
o Google Earth software, pre-installed and unblocked
o Handout
Time: 40 minutes
