The Federal Lakes Recreation Committee for Detroit Lake has been working in cooperation with the Oregon State Marine Board and the Oregon Coast Guard to design and distribute a brochure showing the hazards and amenities of Detroit Lake. We have taken on the task of creating placemarks and photographing the various locations in and around the lake. Photos of Detroit Lake can be seen in Panoramio photo sharing web site. We hope this information will prove to be helpful and encourage the use of Detroit Lake longer during the season by educating boaters on how to avoid the problematic locations in the lake.

This is the inclusion of newly placed log booms we are calling "Fish Structures".
They are attached to the bottom of the lake to create fish habitat.
