ワシの日本語での原稿の作り方
（そして、その他の情報交換用米国標準コードではない言語での投稿の仕方）
日本語（又は別の言語）を使いグーグルアースコミュニティーフォームへ投稿をされる人には、英語で投稿をする人には無い問題が二つあります。
- 記事が始めて製作され入力された時、その投稿記事がsubmitされ、編集されるまでは日本語文字は文字化けしてしまいます。
- Submit される前の“Preview your modifications”displayの下の“Edit some more”boxは文字化けするだけで、何も表す事は出来ません。
ワシの日本人の友人達はグーグルアースがとても好きなのですが、難しすぎるのでグーグルアースコミュニティーへは投稿したがりません。ワシは、そうした人たち（又、とても役に立つと思っていただけるどなたでも）のためにこの原稿を作成しました。写真を加えたり、プレイスマークなどの内容をフォーマットする方法についての助言を求める人たちもおられました。これらの例を学習すれば殆どの日本人は理解することが出来ると
思います。
ワシは、投稿する前（原稿を作成するための時間を使う前も）、いつもレイヤーとグーグルアースコミュニティーの中を、ワシのトピックが他の誰かに投稿されていないかを調べます。
- ワシのファーストステップはプレイスマークなどのコンテンツを普通の方法で書くことです。
（ワシの知るフォーマットするための最も簡単なガイドは次の中にあります。 ガイドはここです。 。英語で書かれています。どなたかこれに近い内容のものを既に日本語で書いておられるかどうか知りません。この中で、写真をどのようにして加えるか、テキストをどのようにフォーマットできるかを示す例を紹介しています。それを理解するためには、この原稿をダウンロードして、保留の中にある投稿を右クリックし、説明に何が書かれているかを学習し、グーグルアースコンテントバルーンの中に作られている効果と比較してください。簡単な例として、“<center>Center This</center>”,と書けば、プレイスマークアイコン又は場所の中のコンテントを左クリックして開けば、“Center This”の言葉がバルーンの真ん中に現れます。このガイドに加えて、他の人々のコンテンツを学習することで大変多くのことを学ぶことが出来ます。その為には、the プロパティ ダイアログボックスが開かれているて状態で、 説明 boxに書かれている事柄と、コンテンツが開かれているときにバルーンの中に見える事柄とを比較する必要があります。
写真やその他のグラフィック内容がある場合、ファイルがネット上のどこかなどに保存しておくようにして下さい。二つの大きなイメージ・ホスティング・サーヴィスは次のとおりです。Image Shack and Photo Bucket. 他にもこうしたイメージ・ホスティング・サーヴィスがあり、又一部は日本人向けにデザインされているものもあります。
次が、フォーマットされたプレイスマークがどんなものかを示します。英語と日本語のウィキペディアへのリンクがあり、二つのグラフィックが中央にあります
あなたのコンテンツ（プレイスマークなど）はご自分のハードドライブに保存して下さい。その為のフォルダーを作るのも良いと思います。外国の多くのPCはグーグルアースにおいて日本語文字は読めません。全てのPCで読めるように貴方のコンテントを英語又はローマ字でKMZファイルと名付けるようお勧めします。
- 第二のステップはコンテンツ（プレイスマーク等）をグーグルアースコミュニティーに投稿する事です。
ワシは、the Google Earth program (フィル or Right Click > 共有 / 投稿)で利用可能なポスティング・ウイザードを使いませんし、お勧め出来ません。それを使うには、英語の説明文をかなり読まなくてはなりません。グーグルアースコミュニティーにどのようにログオンするかを理解するのは難しく、それをご自分の投稿メッセージを作る前にしなければならないのです。一番大きな問題というのは、グーグルアース・コミュニティー・フォーラムから読むことの出来る貴方の投稿メッセージのコード化と、グーグルアースに取り込まれた映像のコード化とは異なると言うことなのです。ポスティング・ウイザードを使うと、同じコンテンツが両方の場所に載ってしまいます。貴方のコンテンツ（プレイスマーク等）では貴方がそのように意図しているようにうつりますが、グーグルアース・コミュニティー・フォーラムで読者からみると、コンテンツは文字化けしてしまいます。
グーグルアース・コミュニティー・フォーラムで見ることが出来る、ポスティング・ウイザードから入れたサンプルプレイスマーク。日本語（そして、その他の情報交換用米国標準コードではない言語）は文字化けし、プレイスマークのフォマットコードはディスプレー上に現れ（挿入参照）そして、グラフィックは望んだ場所には表示されません
ポスティング・ウイザードで作った原稿の編集は大変複雑です。
- ワシの次のステップはグーグルアース・コミュニティー・フォーラムで読んで頂く投稿内容への手引き（イントロダクション）を書くことです。日本語と英語又は、ご希望の他の言葉で両方で書くことが出来ます。他の言葉で書けば読者は貴方のその努力を高く評価すると思います。満足出来る内容が書けたとき、クリップボードにコピーすれば、投稿準備完了です。

グーグルアースコミュニティーへログオンし、投稿を望むフォーラムへ進んでください。
まず、Experimental and Temporary Forum.へ投稿するのが良いでしょう。そうすれば、UBB formatting tools
や、URL linksを作ったり、テキストの体裁を変更したりすることに慣れることが出来るでしょう。経験の深い投稿者は毎回、まずこのExperimental and Temporary Forumを使い、最終のポストを作る前に、ご自分が望んでいるものが出来ているかどうか確認しています。
ポストを作成します。ローマ字でSubjectへエンターします。一部のPCでは、漢字、ひらがな、又はカタカナでエンターされた原稿は編集するために開くことが出来ない場合があります。日本語又は特別な文字は正しく表示されませんから、適切な場所にクリップボードから貼り付けるか、又はどこへでもエンターしてみて下さい。ポストを投稿してください。少しでも日本語を使っていますと文字化けしてしまいます。“Edit”をクリックし、コンテンツを消去して、クリップボードからもう一度ペーストしてください。貴方が作成した
題材が訂正を必要としているかどうかをしっかりと確認してください。
クリップボードからペーストした後、エディットボックスはつぎのようになります。
ここでもう、貴方のフォーラムポストをフォーマットするために下段にあるインスタントUBB Codeツールを使うことができます。
URL tool とthe Graphics tool.を使った画像の二つのリンクを設定するためにUBB Code toolsを使った後に見ることができるスクリーンは次のようになります。
フォーマットする為のツールを使った後、書いたものをクリップボードにコピーをしContinue.をクリックしてください。全て正しく表示されたら、ハードドライブに入れてあるコンテンツファイルを添付して投稿して下さい。フォーマットを訂正する必要がまだある場合、投稿をしてから、戻り、もう一度Editしてください。
下段の”Preview your modifications” 所の下にある”Edit some more”は使わないで下さい。.
このediting boxを使うといつもテキストは文字化けします。
ポストが満足できるものであれば、フォーマットしたテキストをワープロプログラムへペーストし直し、保存して下さい。後日編修し直したいとき、便利です。そして勿論、Experimental and Temporary Forumの中でそれを試してみたり、レギュラーフォーラムへのポストを作りたいと考えるとき、それが必要となります。
このポストには サンプルプレイスマーク が添付されています。意味の無いローマ字を使って作りました。そしてご覧になれるようなものに編集しました。クリップボードからペーストした漢字もキーボードから直接入力した漢字も入力出来ました。
tekgergedanは、GEC Forums上にある文字化けしたテキストを修正する別の方法があることを示しています。
- GECへログインしている時、Editをクリックしてください。
- ブラウザー上のEncoding option から“UNICODE (UTF-8)”を選んでください。
- "Change this post"をクリックした後、まだ"Edit some more" editing boxは使えません。
- ワシはこの方法で テスト .を行いました。 お分かりになると思います。

How I Make a Post in Japanese
(And probably other non ASCII encoded languages)
People who want to make posts to the Google Earth Community Forms using Japanese (and other special) characters have two problems that people who post in English do not have.
- Japanese characters entered when the post is first created will appear garbled until the post is submitted and then edited.
- The “Edit some more” box under the “Preview your modifications” display before it is submitted will never produce anything but more garbled text.
Some of my Japanese friends like Google Earth very much, but they don’t want to make posts to the Google Earth Community because it is too difficult. I have made this post for them (and for anyone else who might find it helpful). Some of them also wanted suggestions about how to add pictures and format their content (placemarks, etc.). I have included a link to a post that provides many simple examples of various formatting techniques. I think most Japanese, if they study these examples, will be able to understand them.
BEFORE I POST (AND EVEN BEFORE I SPEND TIME TO MAKE A POST) I ALWAYS SEARCH IN THE LAYERS AND THE GOOGLE EARTH COMMUNITY TO MAKE SURE MY TOPIC HAS NOT BEEN POSTED BY SOMEONE ELSE..
- My first step is to write my content (my placemark, etc.) in the normal way.
(The easiest guide for formatting that I know is found posted HERE . It is written in English. I don’t know if anyone has written something similar in Japanese. This post provides examples of how to include photographs, and format text. To understand it, you need to download the post and study what is written in the Description by right clicking the post in the Temporary Places and compare that with the effect created in the Google Earth content balloon. As a simple example, if you write “<center>Center This</center>”, then the words “Center This” will appear in the center of balloon when it is opened by left clicking the content in My Places or its placemark icon. In addition to this guide, you can learn much by studying other people’s content by comparing what they have written in the Description box with the Properties dialog box open and what you see in the balloon when the content is opened.
Be sure, if you are including photographs and other graphics content, that the files are stored someplace on the internet. Two such image hosting services are Image Shack and Photo Bucket. There are many others, and some image hosting services may be designed for Japanese users.
This is what the formatted example placemark looks like. Notice that there are links to Japanese and English articles in Wikipedia, and two graphics have been centered.
Save your content (your placemark, etc.) to your hard drive. It may be a good idea to create a folder only for this purpose. Many computers around the world cannot read Japanese characters in Google Earth. I suggest that you name your content KMZ file in romaji or English so its display in Google Earth can be read by all computers.
- The second step is to post the content (placemark, etc.) to the Google Earth Community. I never use the Posting Wizard available from the Google Earth program (Right Click > Share Post) and I do NOT RECOMMEND its use to anyone. In order to use it, you must first read a lot of text in English. It is also difficult to understand how to log on to the Google Earth Community, which you must do before you can create your post. But the biggest problem is that the encoding of the parts of your post that will be readable from the Google Earth Community Forums and the parts visible when your content is loaded into Google Earth is different. If you use the Posting Wizard, the same content will go into both places. It will appear as you intend in your content (placemark, etc.) in Google Earth, but it will be garbled for readers in the Google Earth Community Forums.

Editing a post created with the Posting Wizard is very complicated.
- My next step is to write an introduction to the post to be read from the Google Earth Community Forum. I use a word processing program. Remember, it is possible to write in both Japanese and English, or other languages if you prefer, and readers of those languages will appreciate your effort to communicate with them as well. When you are satisfied with what you have written, copy your text into your clip board. You are now ready to post.

Log onto the Google Earth Community and go to the Forum in which you want your post to appear.
It may be a good idea to make a post first in the Experimental and Temporary Forum. This will allow you to become familiar with the UBB formatting tools used for entering images, creating URL links, changing the appearance of your text, etc. Some experienced posters first use the E & T Forum every time, just to make sure they have arranged things as they wish before they create the actual post.
Create your post. Enter your Subject in romaji. On some computer systems, subjects entered in kanji, hiragana, or katakana cannot be opened for editing. Paste from your clipboard into the appropriate fields, or just enter anything, because Japanese and other special characters will not display correctly. Submit the post. It will appear garbled if you used any Japanese characters. Now click on “Edit”. Erase your content, and paste again from your clipboard. Remember to check to see if your Subject also needs to be corrected.

Now you can use the Instant UBB Code tools at the bottom of the page to format your Forum post.
This is what the screen will look like after you have used the UBB Code tools to place the two links using the URL tool and the image using the Graphics tool.
After you have used the formatting tools, copy what you have written onto your clipboard and click Continue. If everything appears correct, then attach the content file you have stored on your hard drive, and submit your post. If you still need to improve your formatting, submit your post, then go back and Edit again.
Do not attempt to use the Edit some more box under the Preview your modifications display at the bottom of the page.
Using this editing box will always produce garbled text.
If you are satisfied with your post, paste the formatted text back into your word processing program and save it. If will be useful if you ever wish to edit your post in the future, and of course you will need it if you practiced in the Experimental and Temporary Forum and wish to create the post in a Regular Forum.
The sample placemark is attached to this post. It was created using nonsense romaji characters. I then edited it to produce the result you see. I could enter Japanese characters both as pasted from the clipboard and directly from the keyboad.
A friend pointed out that there is another way to correct the garbled text that appears in the GEC Forums:
- Click Edit while logged into the Google Earth Community.
- Select “UNICODE (UTF-8) from the Encoding option on your browser.
- You still will not able to use the "Edit some more" editing box after clicking "Change this post".
- I created a post to test this method. You may see it HERE . (The reply shows they way the post appeared before it was edited.)
