The following is a compiled list of current BBS posts relating to Hurricane Rita as of 3:00pm, September 23rd. While there have been many great posts on the topic, I have tried to include only those which are routinely updated or that will aide people in planning for the storm and its aftermath. Please let me know if I have missed some that fit into that category.
At the bottom is a list of data I have found which could be helpful, but to my knowledge it has not yet been posted.

UPDATE: I have combined most of these into a KMZ, which is now attached. (Thanks to Frank4 for the idea.)

This is really helpful. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
I've discovered the following was incorrect; this image below isn't getting updated. Is anyone providing this on an updated basis?
BTW, it seems to me some authors might not have said their placemarks would be updated regularly, but they seem to be getting updated anyway. For example, a transparent satellite image of the hurricane is getting its source from http://www.jpegger.com/fb/rita-vis.png, which is apparently getting updated. Besides's being quite attractive, it shows the size of the hurricane as well, so that one's a keeper for me. The name of this placemark is "Rita- 9-21,1445Z." That one is from: http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/121856/an/0/page/2#121856

Hey Montana, I have a suggestion: Make an attachment to your base message here which is a folder with Places links to all of the referenced Google Earth tools/overlays (except for the web page documents).
I've done something similar by sharing my Weather folder from my My Places in this story here (which contains several of your referenced tools).

I have been trying to go back and forth between Google Earth and the NOAA satellite images of Creole, LA to see if my wife's friend's house is still there or not. I can find the house on Google Earth, but the NOAA map of images is confusing to say the least! Any ideas on when a Google Earth update of the post Rita images wil be available and/or where I cn get these images to update Google Earth? These people really want to know if there home is still there. Thanks in advance to anyone...

For goodness sakes..............take a marine navigation course and learn to understand the meaning of Longitude and Latitude.........otherwise you will have no credibility with this system. Thunder.
