This is one of Saddam's MiG-29's he "hid" during OIF. Notice the multiple horseshoe shaped shelters throughout this area. I haven't figured out how to share this location so I will give you the coords. It is at 33 50 39 N and 42 30 23 E. there are multiple horseshoe shaped aircraft shelters in this area. I flew over this area and in a wash somewhere nearby there is another MiG half buried in the side of a wash nose in with only the tail exposed. I can't seem to locate it yet.

I am very new at this so if someone has a suggestion as to how to make viewing of this MiG-29 easier via Google Earth other than just posting the coordinates please share. Thanks - viperdoc.

Hello viperdoc
Welcome to the Community BBS and to Google Earth..
In your Google Earth Layers panel please check the 'Google Earth Community' Layer.. (See Image below) - This will show placemarks other BBS Users have marked. You don't need to have this checked all the time, but it is best to check it before you make a placemark.
And some other useful links for you.

Viperdoc....
Great find. There are actually at least three other MiG-29s in the area that I see, all of them east (and a bit north or south) of the original. I can't tell for sure because of the resolution, but it looks as if one of them is burned out.

Viperdog, if you follow the instructions by NormB, you'll find that 2catkins has already marked about fifty of these planes in this post. You should also remove the attachment file from your original post. It has no sensible content and takes us to th 0 N, 0 E coordinates on the Atlantic.
Google Earth Users Guide is also a good way to start making placemarks and others.
Your plane is no MiG-29 but a MiG-21 like all the others there (plus possibly two MiG-25 wrecks). MiG-21 (left) is a small single engined delta with separate horizontal stabilizers. MiG-29 (right) is bigger, twin engined conventionally winged jet.

Placeark does not agree with the original post.
I was led to this post by the Layer post at this location. 45° 1'36.01"S 168°38'55.31"E
