For some reason this hill/mountain formation looks like the head of an Indian Warrior in a headdress. At first read you may say oh sure but have a look you will see it right away. It is really strange to see. More information on the head can be found on Wikipedia. Here is a link to it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badlands_Guardian or type Badlands Guardian into Wikipedia search. Videos about the Indian Head formation from two t.v. news shows can be found here on YouTube and here http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=aGhhCwDXO74 also on YouTube Fixed the altitude so it is easier to find. An excellent find! I wonder who made this...
I tried looking for information, but it seemed quite difficult to come by.

There must be something wrong with me...I don't see it!!! Does it cover the whole of North America? Or just a bit? Which group of mountains is it in?!

You need to go right down close to the marker - sadly, it's not visible from orbit.

Took a while, supergranny, but eventually got it. Well found. firefysh.

very amazing! We also have been lucky because it only depends on shadows, then on the moment when picture was taken.
